Stand positions: how many open sides?
Inline — one open side
The front does all the work, so keep your main message at eye level and uncluttered.
Corner — two open sides
Put the reception counter on the corner, where people in both aisles can see it.
Peninsula — three open sides

Send your stand number, size, open sides and exhibitor manual. We confirm the rules that apply to your space.
Concept and 3D design
Our designers prepare floor plans and 3D visuals. You review them and ask for changes before anything is built.
Drawings and permits
We prepare the drawings your organiser and venue need. At DWTC, designs go through the Organiser+ portal and need a Permit to Build before work starts.
Fabrication in Sharjah
Joinery, printing, acrylic and lighting are produced in our own production unit, then checked before they leave for the venue.
Build-up and handover
Our crew installs the stand during build-up. At DWTC, power is connected only after the venue's electrician has inspected the stand.
Dismantling and storage
After the show we dismantle the stand, clear our materials from the hall and store reusable parts for your next show.
Dubai Venue Rules That Shape Your Stand
Every show has an exhibitor manual, and every stand must follow it. These are the rules from Dubai World Trade Centre’s Health & Safety Handbook that we plan around most often.
Permit to Build
Stand designs are uploaded to DWTC's Organiser+ portal. Construction cannot start until DWTC issues a Permit to Build.
Structural review
DWTC's structural engineer evaluates every space-only structure. Raised platforms over 300 mm need structural calculations.
Height limits
Shell-scheme stands have a 2.5 m limit. Stands in the concourses are limited to 4 m, and double-deckers are not allowed there.
Double-decker stands
They need structural calculations, structural and technical drawings, a 3D drawing and the stand's position on the floor plan. No part may be more than 12 m from a staircase.
Fire-rated materials
Construction materials must meet NFPA standards as a minimum, and fabrics and drapes must be flame-retardant to NFPA 701.
Hanging banners
Only DWTC's Event Services team rigs from the ceiling, and requests go in at least two weeks before build-up.
Power and utilities
DWTC's electrician inspects the stand before power is connected, and compressed air is supplied only by DWTC.
Finishing on site
Only minor touch-up painting is allowed on site, so we finish surfaces in our workshop before build-up.
Aisles
Nothing may stand in the aisles, and structures may not bridge across them to a neighbouring stand.

Dubai Exhibition Centre at Expo City does not publish an equivalent handbook online, but it does require external contractors on custom builds to register on Contractor Plus.
